Prayer Concerns, December

For the Kurdish people, as more turn from Islam that men might be sent from God to tell them of the Lord Jesus.

That justice and truth might prevail in Syria

Give vision to those represent us in Congress and to the president who presides over congress especially in these days.  We think of the 60 million plus refugees,  the rising oceans,  the demise of middle class.  Give us wisdom to take care of our oceans and fish.

For those who are left behind, those not lifted up by the rising tide of prosperity.

We pray for isolated people that find fellowship.  We pray for those families headed up by single mothers.

As we think today on "Black Lives Matter," we also remember the decrease of the black population in our nation.  We pray against all that would destroy the black community.  We pray that they might be lifted up.  We do not know what to do.  We sit by in agony as we see the extinguishing of a great light. Father, have mercy.

Fair Workers' Meal

Knox Church

God’s Littlest Angels Orphanage in the Kenscoff Mountains just outside of Port-au-Prince will be welcoming ten people from Knox from Aug 16-23, 2010.

This is an orphanage that has a NICU, a nursery, and a toddler house. After the earthquake they were able to send most children abroad to be with their forever families and currently have 60 children staying or permanently living there.

The team of 10, lead and strengthened by our faith, is headed there to serve in whatever capacity the orphanage and children need. We may be organizing and distributing the amazing amount of donations that are still coming in from around the world. We may be helping clean and run the facilities, or we may be holding and playing with children every minute we are awake. Whatever the Lord will have us do we are ready!

Please continue to keep the whole country in your prayers. Please pray for the children, the families to remain together, the Haitian people and missionaries who work together for progress, for the volunteers rotating in and out of the country and for our team of 10 to be useful, willing, and transformed.

Community Meal

Join us for a free community meal on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 5 o'clock to 6:30 at the Ellsworth church.

Food Pantry

Needs are very great. Please don't forget to contribute to our food pantries. Many people are calling these days to get help with groceries. Canned goods are especially needed among the non-perishables. Thank you and God bless you!
